The end of a brilliant year for Inneventive

We would like to first and foremost thank all of our clients and suppliers, this year we have gone from strength to strength so we are very grateful for our previous and newly formed relationships.

From our team building to our Christmas parties, we have been very busy, but would not have it any other way. January of this year saw us play host to many conferences, ranging from 40 to 475, our locations were spread across the UK and the timings from one day to three days. We love working at conferences as it is so rewarding seeing the incentive reached at the end of the event.

The Summer saw us partner up with RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) and it cannot be a better relationship. We work so well together and not only love their products but their passion and love for the industry also. Therefore this relationship saw us become the first events management company to do this, pushing us in front of our competitors.

We also expanded our team building products by introducing Health and Safety into the kitchen. The subject can become quite dry therefore we wanted to re-mold it to address the same important issues but in the kitchen. This product has proved very popular and can either be a half or full day for convenience. Our chef in Hoxton loves doing these events as it is not only interesting but a good take on it can make it educational also.

Our private party team have been rather busy! with many Anniversaries and Birthdays ranging from 6 to 60 has kept them all very occupied! Although all of their parties were a success their favorite was their Mad Hatters Tea party on the Devon coast!

To summarize 2013 for Inneventive, all of the departments have been busy and all are excited for 2014. We already have parties lined up and we all cannot wait to get stuck in and start 2014 with a bang!

Halloween, Hipsters and Harry Potters – The return of the party themes

It is that time of year when the pumpkins are unearthed, the fancy dress box comes down from the attic and your children are wanting to trick or treat. Inneventive must admit, we love this time of year, it’s a great excuse to become one with your inner child and let your creativity run away with you.

Over the 12 years of being in the industry we have hosted some wonderful and wacky parties with the most extraordinary themes.  There is no theme we haven’t touched and our Halloween parties seem to get bigger and crazier every year. Working in the events industry we don’t necessarily need a date to celebrate a theme, but the 31st October is a great excuse to look scary (on purpose!).

From intimate corporate parties of 30 to large private parties of 500 we can host it all. We believe that a theme can bring a party to life whether that be from your centre pieces or your red carpet, it makes a big, vibrant and exciting party, three elements we like to pride ourselves in.

We recently hosted a Heaven ‘n Hell party in the depths of the Cotswolds and transformed a clients garden into a mystical Adam and Eve setting. Details such as marquees, interior, floral arrangements and catering – it all helps create the big exciting picture.

We had incredible staff who all dressed up and were the ‘temptations’ whilst the drinks were various concoctions. Not only can a theme make your event stand out but it can also have internal benefits:

  • Removes stress and pressure from the office
  • Most of all entertaining and unique!

‘Inneventive delivers Malaysia Cultural Week with an estimated 350,000 guests’ – Yeah we did!

The rumours are true everyone, we delivered Malaysia Week from the 19th-23rd September on Southbank and had the most incredible time! We are now back in the office after such a great week that we have site blues!

With the most amazing smells every day and beautiful arts and crafts to look at we definitely did not feel like we were working but experiencing a culture that had not been shown justice. With queues of people to the food stalls every day it was a clear sign that the public were a fan and were not moving until they got their lunch!

The performances were breathtaking, with performers ranging from six – 59 years old, all incredible and gave the most admirable energy that got the crowd (and the staff) up on their feet and fingers pointing to the sky. The Malaysian Minister of Culture visited on Saturday 21st and alongside the press, Southbank was filling up. Our VIP tent looked the part with beautiful dressing and even yummier cuisine the room quickly filled with guests and laughter.

We were constantly admiring the hand-made pearl necklaces and paintings, as it was clear to see the intricacy and skill that was needed into each and every bracelet and necklace. The traders were very happy to explain to us how the process starts, from raw materials to the final product, which made the whole stall really mean something extra.

All in all it was a successful event that showed the public what Malaysia has to offer from delicious Chicken Satay to traditional fashion and jewelry. We hope those that visited us enjoyed themselves and will hopefully see you very soon at our next live event!

Malaysia Week 2013

We at Inneventive are thrilled to announce that we are hosting Malaysia Week this year! Hand picked due to our experience in the field we have no doubt it will be the best yet, please come down  over the 19th-23rd  September weekend to say hi and experience the Malaysian culture first hand.

Southbank will be turned into a festival filled with delicious food, entertainment and Malaysian fashion. Needing no ticket, the festival is open to the public from 11am -6.30pm everyday. After Prince William and The Duchess of Cambridge visited the country in 2012, they described the tour as ‘a stunning country that has so much to offer through their heritage’. Therefore we would like to bring their heritage to London; you will not only taste the likes of their traditional food such as The Tank, Roti Cania and fruits but absorb and hear it through the live entertainment and art show.

This will be a great day for all ages and groups, as it will be not only educational but fun too, with so much to offer. Over the four days, expect to see fashion shows, arts and crafts stalls, live food demonstrations and much more.

We are so excited to be returning to this festival; (we also hosted it in 2008) and believe that it is going to be bigger and better than the previous years. We are pulling out all the stops and the whole team has been involved, making it a lovely event that has brought the team together with all of our skills and attributes needed!

Glorious Glamping

We are all familiar with this 21st century term and I must say we at Inneventive wanted to explore this further. I am sure you are all aware what the term entails and like us are now intrigued and want to try it for yourselves.

Well this is what we did, as the festival season is nearly up we thought we would try it before the damp dreary winter truly sets in. So off we sent packing our MD Lucy Stoddart down to Salcombe for the true Glamping experience. With a handful of clients and a beautiful tent (or mini hotel it looked like!), off they went to the beautiful beaches of Devon.

Now before I go on, I must say that Lucy has just walked into the office looking refreshed, tanned and well, over the moon. Her words were:

‘Glamping is the way forward in my books, fantastic company, fantastic catering and fantastic conversation. We forget how stunning our coasts are and take them for granted’ 

We were all pleasantly surprised as from an events side we were taking a risk, but if you don’t take risks in life, surely it becomes boring? A word that is not in Inneventives’ dictionary.

The clients arrived to the most beautiful site, a field overlooking Gower Rock and were greeted with a glass of chilled champagne. After they settled in and were shown their accommodation, they quickly took to the sofa (yes, sofa) and started admiring their surroundings. As the sun settled they moved on to their canapés, Seared local scallops with roasted butternut squash and truffle puree – yum!

The first night is very relaxed, meeting everyone and simply enjoying the peace and quiet and forgetting the hustle and bustle of the city. The next day Lucy took the team on a hike around the coast eventually arriving at a twee little pub with a lot of character. Strolling back to the campsite, the team building activities started. We can tailor these to what suits you and your company best.

We like to emphasize that we adapt to you, not the other way round. This is your opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy, im sure, a well deserved break. Or if you just want to hand everything over to us then that’s fine too! We have over twenty years experience in the industry so fear not, we not what we’re doing!

On this particular occasions the client chose our popular activity, Down on the Farm, an afternoon that includes scarecrow making, milking goats and tractor manoeuvring – they really were in the country now!

The overall experience was a huge success, Lucy and the clients loved it, and even said:

‘Why didn’t we think of this before? Such a simple concept and yet oozing fun and tranquility’

From this, the seed was planted; we wanted to pursue Glamping and explore it further. So this is it! The launch of…

After-Event Press Release on our Launch Party partnership with the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art

A fun night was had by all as they experienced first hand a

 showcase evening event  hosted by

Inneventive and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art

Guests where treated to a cabaret act and an a taste of an eccentric race night on the official launch of the collaboration of Inneventive and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art held on the 18th June  in Malet Street centre.

The invitation only event began with an entertaining evening of very talented cabaret performances by RADA graduates and then a taster session of “The Eccentric Race Night” where guests were invited to place bets on a competitive “who could read sonnets of Shakespeare the fastest”. The actors where put through their paces, and guests where provided with play money; all made their predictions, trying to beat the odds and the excitement was electrifying. There was shouting, booing and finally winners and it felt extraordinary to be part of something rather unique and original- a rare combination so hard to find these days where there is often  unlimited choices of client and team events available to the corporate market.

The evening concluded with a private tour of the Royal Academy of Arts centre, a rare glimpse into a world were many renowned actors had started there journey into the theatrical and film industry.

The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art has been a world leading centre of excellence for theatrical training for over 100 years. RADA has produced some of this nation’s best loved performers. Inneventive, established in 2001, is one of the UK’s leading creative team building and event specialists.

A Perfectly Balanced Conference

 The venue looks great, the speakers are actually working, the tables and chairs are perfectly aligned and PowerPoint is ready to go. In just 20 minutes your attendees will start arriving to your check-in desk to put on their name badges, collect their delegate pack and find their seat.

5 minutes into this conference (which you have been planning for 6 months), your attendees will be already be thinking how enticing lunch looks and what time train to catch home.

Is this really what you want? I can imagine your answer is no…..

Have you ever thought how to make your conference more engaging and exciting rather than ‘death by PowerPoint’? Your delegates don’t want to go back to their schooling days where they can’t move from a long tedious lecture for 2 hours.  Your guests want to get up, network, interact with each other and really learn something from the day.

So, why are conferences renowned for being so dreary? It may be because your guests are sat in the same seat for an hour and have to listen and watch a number of people talk about one ‘subject’. Make an ‘App’ for your conference and that automatically reduces all the paper you are wasting printing Delegate Packs on. (These packs are only left at the end of the day anyway.)

Between sessions, why not give your attendees the chance to network with exactly who they want to. Many of your guests may only have attended the conference to meet with a few people, so give them this opportunity! Set up a ‘Speed Dating’ room so everyone can meet who they want.

Better yet, why not include something really creative into the day like a collection of activities? Past conferences we have included culinary experiences such as a Canapé Making Workshop and Cupcake Workshops. This added a whole new element into the day and gave the attendees the opportunity to build relationships with others whilst engaging in something really fun and memorable.

I’m not talking about a break where everyone plays Bingo for 5 minutes and the winner receives another complimentary coffee and 2 x Rich Tea’s but games/quizzes are a great way to get everyone interacting. It creates an atmosphere and is great fun if the topic of game is relevant!
